Services

Nervous System Based Chiropractic

Tonal chiropractic focuses on the nervous system and how it can change a persons physiology. This approach looks at the nervous system first and how the doctor's input into the nervous system goes on to affect the muscle system first and then the skeletal system. All systems in the body have connections with the nervous system and depend on its optimal function. Dr. Cassie uses this approach through MC2 Analysis and gentle adjustment techniques.

Skeletal Based Chiropractic

Segmental chiropractic focuses on adjustments to vertebral segments that are not in an optimal position or moving improperly.  By adjusting these segments,  this impacts the skeletal system first,  the nervous system second, and then the muscle system.  Dr. Kyle uses this chiropractic approach in combination with muscle work.

Prenatal Chiropractic

Chiropractic care during pregnancy can reduce neurological interference resulting in improved function and reduced pain to provide for a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic evaluation and adjustment used to reduce sacral dysfunction and promote balance within the pelvis and its surrounding soft tissues in pregnant women. Dr. Cassie is a perinatal and Webster certified chiropractor through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). A balanced pelvis promotes proper neurological and biomechanical function which may have a positive effect on the causes of difficult labor (dystocia).

Pediatric Chiropractic

Within the first year of life 65% of neurological development takes place. Birth to adolescence is a physically and emotionally demanding time in a child’s life. Chiropractic care is a safe and gentle approach to help support children towards optimal wellness during these critical stages of development. Dr. Cassie is Certified by the Academy Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) in pediatric chiropractic. She has received additional training in order to provide gentle and specific adjustments for the pediatric community.

Wellness Chiropractic

We believe chiropractic care throughout life can play an integral role in optimal health and wellness. Wellness chiropractic care can also be beneficial in adapting to every day life stressors.

What is chiropractic?

The purpose of chiropractic is not the treatment of symptoms or conditions, but rather the restoration of normal body function. It helps support the body's natural ability to heal itself and return to a balanced state by reducing neurological interference (subluxation) through the chiropractic adjustment. The nervous system has connections with every system in the body; therefore, making sure it is functioning optimally is important for overall health - physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual.

What technique will you use?

Throughout your care a variety of adjustment techniques may be used based on your individual needs. Some techniques that may be used include Diversified, Thompson, Integrator, Activator, and Logan Basic. Depending on which doctor you see, the chiropractic approach, analysis, and adjustment may differ. Dr. Kyle uses a skeletal based approach to determine which joints of the spine are not moving correctly or "stuck." He then most commonly uses Diversified Technique, a hands-on approach, to make the adjustment and restore motion into the joint. Dr. Cassie uses a nervous system based approach, called MC2 analysis, to determine where specifically the nervous system needs input to best reduce neurological interference and enchance full body function. She then most commonly uses gentle instruments such as an Integrator, Activator, and Drop Table to make the adjustment.

Will I hear or feel a crack or pop during my adjustment?

The goal of the chiropractic adjustment is not a "crack" or "pop." A pop or cracking noise is simply the release of gas in a joint, just like the noise from opening up a drink in a can, and is not an indication of a successful adjustment. A successful chiropractic adjustment is one that, depending on the approach being used, restores motion into a joint or brings ease and balance back to the body by reducing neurological interference.

A pop or cracking noise may occur with some adjustments techniques. This happens more often with Dr. Kyle's hands-on adjustments. Dr. Cassie may use her hands for some adjustments, but most of the time she uses instruments like an Activator or Integrator. Adjustments for infants and toddlers will never involve any cracking, popping, or twisting and turning movements.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance based care is pain-based care. This means if you are wanting to use your insurance our providers can only adjust symptomatic areas of reduced motion, pain, and tension. Both our providers are currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield for patient's that want solely a symptom/pain based approach to chiropractic. Dr. Kyle is in-network with most major insurance companies, please call our clinic to see if we accept your specific insurance. Due to the neurological based approach used by Dr. Cassie, she looks at the body in a holistic view. This often requires her to make adjustments outside areas of pain or even make adjustment when there is no pain at all; therefore, she does not accept insurance.
